Driver's education update from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. Effective July 1, 2026: only driver's education completed through a DPS certified instructor or an MDE certified instructor will be accepted for hardship license applications. Effective July 1, 2027: completion of driver's education will be required for all new drivers to obtain a regular driver's license.
